Local showers brought measurable rainfall to several parts of Curaçao, with more isolated showers still possible.
Several areas of Curaçao received rain on Sunday morning. Official weather stations recorded approximately 19.2 millimeters at Soto, 13 millimeters in Punda, 10.8 millimeters at Spaanse Water and 10.6 millimeters in Steenrijk.
The Meteorological Department explained that atmospheric conditions remained favorable for local showers and possible thunderstorms. A Code Yellow advisory was also issued for rough seas, with waves between 1.5 and 2.5 meters.
Drivers should reduce their speed because roads can become slippery. Swimmers and boat operators are advised to exercise additional caution along the coast.
